Experience Highlights

A WSET Level 1 wine course, guided winery visits, a private truffle hunt and an olive oil experience sit alongside quieter moments — exploring a medieval village, sunset dinners, wine tastings, and a free day left open for whatever you feel like doing.

Itinerary

Day 1 — Arrival & Introduction

You'll land in Bologna and be transferred straight to Podere Tovari, with a panoramic introduction to the region along the way. The day settles into an aperitif and welcome dinner — your first taste of what's ahead.

Day 2 — Culture & Heritage

A morning in Città di Castello brings Renaissance landmarks, art and a wander through local food shops and artisan workshops. The day closes, as most will, with aperitif and dinner.

Day 3 — Wine Education

The WSET Level 1 Wine Course anchors the day — guided tastings and interactive learning that build real, transferable knowledge. It ends with a food and wine pairing dinner back at Podere Tovari.

Day 4 — Wine & Territory

A visit to the Lungarotti winery opens onto Montefalco and its Sagrantino, with lunch overlooking the hills. The afternoon continues to Solomeo and Morami, before dinner by Lake Trasimeno as the day winds down.

Day 5 — Slow Living

A free day at Podere Tovari — yoga, cycling or simply relaxation, plus optional experiences for anyone who wants them. In the evening, the medieval village of Montone is worth the short trip.

Day 6 — Gastronomy Experience

Olive oil production and tasting lead into a truffle discovery masterclass and hands-on truffle hunting — the day, and the trip's culinary arc, close with a dedicated truffle dinner.
